Did you wait 30 minutes? It takes 30 minutes after setting your cvs password for it to be updated in the cvs authentication tool. http://drupal.org/node/add/project-issue/infrastructure is the place to discuss this in general. Not sure where else to post this and apologize as this a bit off topic... I'm having problems accessing my Drupal.org CVS account to support my contributed modules. Using the password reset interface doesn't seem to help.
