Hi, I contacted mikeryan about this pathauto patch which seems to work well for the people who have used it and, since they searched it out, seems like a common request http://drupal.org/node/50328 Mike mentioned that he is no longer interested in maintaining pathauto and granted me CVS access to it. I'm not sure that I'm right to maintain it, but I know it's an important module for many many people and the issue queue could use some love: http://drupal.org/project/issues?projects=17345&states=1,2,8,13,14 If anyone is interested in... 1) the above patch I mentioned - it's functionally trivial, but perhaps some disagree whether the behavior is desired or not 2) maintaining pathauto 3) other patches that they feel should be committed. ...feel free to contact me or discuss here. 2) maintaining pathauto

Could be, but that seems hard to do without cvs access: http://drupal.org/project/pathauto <- note the author http://drupal.org/node/17345/cvs-access Unless my knowledge of Project/CVS interaction is bad, it looks to me based on those pages like he can no longer patch it. your knowledge is correct. the one thing you might not know is that anyone with administer nodes permissions on drupal.org can grant cvs access to a user on a given project. so, it's trivial for a small handful of folks to help out in situations like this. if steef needs access, it's easy to grant it. -derek (dww) p.s. the "locked" row at the top of the cvs-access table is always the owner of the project node.

Okay.. Could someone who has the right permissions, please pass the maintainership by allowing me todo CVS commits to the pathauto.module? And the "Green Marinee"-theme. For questions about the latter of taking over the maintainership by me, contact Adrian Rossouw (aka Vertice on IRC)... Steef

Done. Note that 'greggles' already has commit rights there too. Bèr -- [ End user Drupal services and hosting | Sympal.nl ] Drupal repareert wederom een kritiek veiligheidslek: http://help.sympal.nl/drupal_repareert_wederom_een_kritiek_veiligheidslek

for the record, it's a good idea to keep 2 "roles" straight here: 1) ownership of the project node. this allows you to edit the node (to change the description, categories, etc), and to grant cvs access to other people. 2) having access to the project's directory in cvs. #1 implies #2, not the other way around...
And the "Green Marinee"-theme. For questions about the latter of taking over the maintainership by me, contact Adrian Rossouw (aka Vertice on IRC)...
in general, requests to "take over maintainership" involve changing the #1 above. however, i don't think that's what folks wanted to happen for pathauto (which is why you just got #2, instead). just trying to be clear... thanks, -derek
