This was the ending post here http://drupal.org/node/48829 ""OK, this likely means that we're sending a version of the feed that the Drupal aggregator can't parse properly, which is a simple fix on our end. Can someone who's got info on this shoot me an email at rickk@feedburner.comand I'll coordinate with our CTO on a deployment fix for our smartfeed service?"" I am only forwarding this so it does not get missed. I have no idea who the right person is. Thanks for listening

My posted response: I can add the above feed just fine into today's HEAD (ie. the forthcoming Drupal 4.7). I doubt, however, that it'd work in Drupal 4.5, and I've just confirmed that it doesn't work in Drupal 4.6 (for reasons I don't care to investigate, really). Since Drupal 4.7 is so close to release, and this is a non-critical bugfix, your best bet to get the correct behavior is to look forward to upgrading. -- Morbus Iff ( you are nothing without your robot car, NOTHING! ) Culture: http://www.disobey.com/ and http://www.gamegrene.com/ O'Reilly Author, Weblog, Cook: http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/au/779 icq: 2927491 / aim: akaMorbus / yahoo: morbus_iff / jabber.org: morbus
I don't think I will be upgrading any sites just to get this working. If feedburner is willing to fix it on their end why not help them. It would only help the entire community. My own solution is to just reburn the feed to make it work. On 3/2/06, Morbus Iff <morbus@disobey.com> wrote:

Nope, it's not Feedburner. I've been talking with Rick. My update: TheGutter.xml is actually Atom and not RSS - Drupal 4.6 doesn't support Atom, only (the forthcoming) 4.7 does (and thus, you should be able to parse that feed in Drupal 4.7b4 with no difficulty, but b5 is coming soon, so wait a week or so). As for 4.6, I've been able to add the Movable Type feed (per another comment herein) to Drupal 4.6 with no problem. Drupal 4.5, however, is just too old - we're no longer actively maintaining it, and I don't know of any dev that has an test copy setup somewhere. If you're still using 4.5, it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't work, but there's no way I'll be able to confirm or tell you more. Consider upgrading. The 4.6 site and the 4.5 site are running side by side. But the 4.5 site is happily running spanish and I don't think anyone wants to try and do a repeat of 2 months work with 4.6 and i18n.module. if it is just am matter of upgrading the feed code then I think I can trick someone into doing it ;) thanks, for checking into that.
