Drupal 6.0 is released!
Hello World, Thanks to your hard work on the features going to Drupal 6 over the last year and all the work put to fixing bugs in the final stages as well, Drupal 6.0 is now released. The announcement is at http://drupal.org/drupal-6.0 and includes announcement for some of the cool new stuff from contributions as well, made possible with this release. This marks a new point in updating your modules to Drupal 6, if you have not done so. Coder module (also linked from the announcement) is an awesome tool to help with this. Also note that Drupal 4.7 is not officially supported as of today, so no new Drupal 4.7 releases are expected. Whether you support 4.7 versions of your modules is up to you. But the most immediate task for all is to go out and do some partying. Spread the great news on the new release. Happy hacking with Drupal 7, Gabor
Congrats to Everyone! Especially Gábor! :-) On Feb 13, 2008 8:27 PM, Gábor Hojtsy <gabor@hojtsy.hu> wrote:

I'd like to thank everyone for this legendary release. Thanks for your tireless work and commitment to Drupal! I'm really proud of what we accomplished together. :) -- Dries Buytaert :: http://www.buytaert.net/
Congratulations to everyone who worked their butts off to get this polished and out the door. It looks to be an incredible release. I gave a Drupal 6 demo for the Berkeley Users group in January, and people were drooling. cheers, -tao Gábor Hojtsy wrote:

Congratulations everybody. I think this release will establish Drupal as the most attractive, flexible, feature-rich and most i18n ready CMS. Hopefully everyone will be able to port their modules soon to help spread the word. Kudos to everyone specially Gábor. On Feb 13, 2008 7:46 PM, Tao Starbow <starbow@citris-uc.org> wrote:

Congratulations ! Carried by the moment, I've just translated the announcement to french for my own users, but I think it might be worthwhile to have such national-language annoucements directly on d.o. Would you be interested in it ? FGM
