4.7 maintenance: Release of Drupal 4.7.1
Hi there! Since there was a rather bad bug in the update system I plan to release Drupal 4.7.1 early next week. So I'd like you all to help me by creating and testing patches against the Drupal 4.7 branch. Please remember that only bug fixes will be accepted, so don't waste your tme with new features. Cheers, Gerhard

http://drupal.org/project/issues?projects=3060&states=8&categories=bug All of those patches need review. Also read: http://drupal.org/patch/review -- brian@brianpuccio.net GPG Key ID 0xBBD2401F

To be more precise: The bugs files against 4.6 don't need to be reviewed (unless they apply against 4.7 too). There are still leftovers from before the 4.7 release which should be reviewed: http://drupal.org/project/issues?projects=3060&versions=10634%2C10412%2C1030... and then there are the ones specifically files against 4.7: http://drupal.org/project/issues?projects=3060&versions=10696 Cheers, Gerhard
This http://drupal.org/node/60584 is a big issue (for me) that would be great to get fixed in 4.7.1. It is definitely critical as many of my users cannot login unless they clear their cache. I've looked at some partial solutions, but would like to know if anyone is a) experiencing this as well and b) knows where to point me to. One way to help is not to use Drupal 4.7.0 but to use the latest version from the DRUPAL-4-7 branch in CVS. You can grab that version using CVS (see handbook for more information). It is essentially Drupal 4.7.0 along with the latest bug fixes. Think of it as a pre- release of Drupal 4.7.1. -- Dries Buytaert :: http://www.buytaert.net/

Unfortunately, due to heavy workload and non-matchng availability of the people involved in making a release, this had to be postponed. An excellent oppurtunity to review all the patches now. :) Cheers, Gerhard
