Trying to integrate drupal with zen cart
Hi All, I am trying to build website which having function of ecommerce with different website features like blogging, forum etc. For this I want to integrate two open source technologies drupal and Zen cart. What things need to study for this or How to start integrate this ? can any one suggest ? From where I will start it? Regards Kalyani Waychal
I believe this to be non-trivial. I have sort of done it a little bit for a special case with a fair amount of pain. I have a donate page that adds an item to my Zencart and goes to their checkout page to finish the process. I did this by setting up a donate item in Zencart, then doing a show source on their catalog page and copying the essence of their form table to a drupal page so that I am using the drupal theme instead of the Zencart theme. Making the two themes look identical is hard unless your theme is very simple. Hi, I don't think it is that hard, but really you are going to be setting up your site twice, and have 2 versions of your theme, plus some code to integrate users/sessions. Depending on what you want, e-Commerce or ubercart should do what you want. If you want to find out more about e-Commerce you can grab me in the #drupal-ecommerce IRC channel Gordon.
