A.k.a. part 2 of 2 in regard to documentation updates. More specifically, make up a new example for the [versioncontrol_backend]_operation() callback. Yes, this means that Version Control API has fully recovered and is in a releasable state again. If it's for me, we can start the D6 port anytime.
