[support] email not working on site

I've just noticed that the email on a client site isn't working. The log says "Error sending e-mail from formal@face2interface.com to mlandman@face2interface.com : SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host." How do I check this out more? Didn't see anything obvious to look at using Google. A finger pointing me in a good direction would be most appreciated.
