[support] Security Review Module Issue

We've had some chatter on this mailing list about problems with the Security Review module on upgrading to drupal 7.24 I think there may be a solution : see https://drupal.org/node/2142621 I'm new to drupal/PHP but what I can see is that the patch offered there is for a very simple code change, and is perhaps an example of an outdated function call being replaced by a more secure on.
