Drush can help too if your results can be text based. Not sure if you need it for reporting reasons, but I usually "drush * | grep foo" to find out what I need quickly.

Yeah, a drush approach would actually be pretty cool and well suited since I'm working almost exclusively in text mode... Will dig into this, thanks ! Sherab.
