[support] Required per role on Content Taxonomy Fields

Hello All, Is there a way to set fields required per role? I've checked out http://drupal.org/project/cck_required_by_role but this module doesn't seem to work on content taxonomy fields. Is there an easy way to do this in form_alter perhaps? Any ideas? All help greatly appreciated! Best, Toon
