[support] Image in block

I've created a new block and assigned it to the left side bar. This is the code in the block body <a href="http://www.badgeraccounting.co.uk" target="_blank"><img src="themes/garland/badger-accounting-lechlade.png" width="200" height="175" alt="Badger Accounting Services Lechlade" /></a> This is how it appears in the HTML <div class="content"><p><a href="http://www.badgeraccounting.co.uk" target="_blank"></a></p></div> I'm using the Garland theme. I'd be grateful for any help, thanks.
