[support] Per-role setting of $display_submitted

Dear all, is anyone aware of a module that would allow one to set the value of $display_submitted based on the role of the user rather than on the content type as is the case by default ? I googled and failed to find such a module although I can hardly believe it does not exist. Thanks much in advance for any help, Sherab.
