[support] Field display per theme

Hi, Is there any way I can setup a different field display depending on the theme in D7? I have a content type that can be shown in different themes and I need to arrange the fields differently for different themes. Looking into Display Suite it doesn't seem to be possible. Something along the lines context and panels maybe? I know I could just override the themes node-CONTENT_TYPE.tpl.php but I'd rather control the display using the Field UI. thanks in advance and best regards, berliner
