[support] Create node of a content type at time of authorizing new user

Just what the subject line says. I would like to automatically create a node of a specific content type based on the data in a new user record at the time the new user is marked as authorized. New users are requested to add location data when they sign up. I would like to include this data in a new node. This new node will potentially contain information not found nor needed in the user profile. Is there an existing module that handles this?
