[support] login page redirect elsewhere?

I'm trying to get the successful login page to redirect to other pages than the uesr profile page - but the menu item says "locked" and I can't find a setting for it. Can I use something like taxonomy_redirect for this? Ideally it would be configurable per role - so an extranet user would go to an extranet page where an intranet user would go to an intranet page.
