I learnd a lot, however I do not fully understand what I need to do to add a check box to the article pages, save it's settings....etc. I think I might be able to muddle through making a block since that is what the tutorial was about. Any suggestions on how to go from confused to master module maker?

Thank you for your response. I read a ton more of the docs and was able to use the Field Management and views to accomplish my goal. I have a couple problems that I will address in a separate email.
