I'd say they're not a cause worth working on.  PHP is clearly a dominant 
language, widely used commercially.  That something is written in PHP is not 
enough reason to reject it.  However, if all your entire shop has done and is 
currently doing is written in C and Python, then it does make some sense to 
stick with those languages.

So be it.

There are plenty of other fish in the sea that Drupal can "catch."  We can 
pick our opportunities.
