I think this reflects my experience accurately. Thanks for reflecting.
Generally the people here are great and I think overal peoples intentions
and hearts are in the right place. Unfortunately. It didn't work out for me
and I have a friend with a startup who has been burned.
I think non-technical influencer's are critical and our opinions matter -
they have a strong user advocacy perspective. We are also far more
technically literate then regular folks and work hard to communicate in
meaningful ways to developers. We ask questions and seek to participate and
are not hanging around to be put down.
I have put down Drupal for now and my project that I was working on. I am
currently working on open standards in identity and focused on how we can
get interoperability between systems with SSO to start with then people
moving profiles and hopefully in a while social graphs. HOpefully those of
you doing drupal development can participate where appropriate with your
ps. if you want to be a spelling nazi go ahead and ignore what I have to say
but I am not going to be quiet. I am dyslexic and do my best. Yes I
spellcheck my e-mails and sites and things still get through.
