[consulting] How do you receive payments?

I find paypal a good method of accepting international payments. and in 
general they are very well trusted.

I do not think this is, esp for credit card payments which are usually 
in this area for the merchant fees. They maybe in a little high side in 
this are but for the amount of money I put through it, it is not that high.

Because we are generally at the low end of the scale $2000 - $10000 you 
can't really complain that much.

For work that I do outside of Australia, I use paypal, and I charge all 
my clients in AUD, so I get my rate no matter what the exchange rate is. 
For local work I use Direct Deposit, or in a crunch I will accept cheque.

But generally if you can accept the money in your local currency, and 
because there is more work than consultants most clients will accept 
that not a problem.
