I would just like to announce the release of the Balance Tracker module: 
http://drupal.org/project/balance_tracker

Balance Tracker creates a balance sheet for users displaying account 
credits and debits, as well as provide UI tools and an API to allow the 
site administrators or other modules to add credits and debits to a 
user's account. This is intended for any website or service which 
credits users for accounts, sales, or other activities, and needs to 
track payouts.

Hope you all get some use out of it. It's running quite solidly for a 
client of mine who's site will be going live soon.
