Watch out for attachments. MT (at least some older versions) would give attachments a path relative the post to which it was attached. So an attachment would not be /files/pictures/brooklynbridge.jpg but rather /blog/joe-bloggs/i-have-something-to-sell-you/files/brooklynbridge.jpg ... which is enough to drive anyone a bit crazy. As Drupal does not do that, you can't just move over attachments without noting their paths as coded in the various posts. From what I recall, the attachments were not saved under such path folders, that was just how MT referenced them.
