No, Greg, I am using radioactivity on that site since its creation, but
problem is a bit different.

Yes, exactly. That's why I think you must add multiple facets to a
radioactivity algorithm and tune it so that page views are not as important
as other things like number of comments, and node creation.

You can also create multiple radioactivity profiles so new visitors can see
"most popular content" (i.e. heavily weight the number of node
views) and returning users can see "most interesting content this week"
(i.e. based on the number of comments or votes, with a strong added energy
for node creation and with a half-life of 3 days).
