Hi,

Have a task with showcase type site, which is basically
custom styled slideshow gallery (view of nodes full of pictures).
The problem is that I have 2 galeries on one page, one of them,
on the right has pager on the right side, the left one - on the left.
The idea is to have only one of them active: if active
"right" one - main content content of this gallery covers (z index)
the content of the "left" one, and vice versa.

Image is attached. Green are pager pictures from "left" galery, red
ones - from "right", center area shows on top content from galery
which is now active with MouseHover action.

Looking currently at two solutions:
1) Finding slideshow/rotator type module, which can display as
main content views fields or full nodes from views and can have
pager made from thumbnails in separate block, which activates
main content depending on which pager is MouseHoverbut have no luck
finding such module.
2) Adapting theme, which is more or less customisable to have
overlapping regions without needing to build from 0.

Which of these ideas is may be done with least headache on D7?
Do not want to use older cores, it is more or less ok
if the problem is solved by porting old theme. If so - which one
would you recomend? Maybe some other solution?

Thank you in advance.

p.s. It is client idea to have 2 pagers on one site, so it has to be
done this way.
