[consulting] Failed Outsourcing Job

I wish purchasing agents at my clients had the same respect for contract law
as Alex J.

 

It'd be nice if this thread stayed in the legal arena and didn't get
personal, that lasted about 10 minutes.

Aren't you a consultant? Isn't this a consulting mailing list?

Even your response is shameless and shameful. I'm sure your clients have
contemplated how to not compensate you before...

Just pay the person and move on,

Yes, that is precisely it. I wasn't sure why I felt like I do sort of
deserve something. Now I understand why I don't feel I must be "fair"
in this situation. In reality, both of you are correct.

Now that I understand better, I can tell him that he has cost us time,
which is money, and has frustrated my client, and so I will see what I
work out with him.

Ryan, thank you for this angle--that's what I needed.
