I once started the xstatistics.module for this exact purpose:
* To keep Drupals stats clean and simple.
* And to have a place where those exact stats show up: It featured 
  ** amount of nodes
  ** amount of comments
  ** amount of node views
  ** etc

It looked very similar to what you showed there. 

Chris, David, I suggest you get the dust of that module, or get someone to do 
it for you, if you want this sort of features.
