This is a Canadian Conference on Web 2.0

Guess who is speaking there?

Chris Messina, representing Flock.com. There is a  panel on
"are bloggers journalists" where Michael Tippett of NowPublic.com
(a Drupal site) will participate.

There is also Dr Michael Geist (an authority on cyber law, as
well an advocate of consumer freedom), Jason Fried of 37signals
(parent company of Basecamp and where Ruby on Rails first
emerged), Matt Mullenwegg (Wordpress founder). as well as Om
Malik and others.

This is not a free event though, it costs $350.
