OK, I suppose this is fine ... I was kinda waiting a bit for some  
other opinions before jumping, but that's fine.

The docs on the project page and in the README should also be updated  
to reflect the fact that this filtering happens anywhere it finds an  
internal://some/path style URL, not just in the href attribute of an  
<a> tag. E.g. I often use it in the src attribute of an <img> tag.
