i just noticed that some of the info in there is duplicate with  
http://drupal.org/node/52287 ("Commit messages--providing history and  
credit").  we should either merge the 2 pages, or move/merge the info  
about the specifics of what goes in the commit message from your new  
page and just add a link to #52287...
