Well, Aron Novak is doing Summer of Code on it, but his work won't hit D6.
But there is lots of interesting work being planned for Aggregator and its
legion of contrib spawn.

Aggregator is also quite self-contained, so it shouldn't pose any difficulty
to chop up.
