[development] New core install profiles for D6? (was Re:Early Drupal 6 review from Chris Messina)

I like this idea, but it's really hard for me to do using only core 
modules.  I don't think I've done a core-only site in three years. ;-)

I suspect a lot of other people will have the same problem - certainly 
anyone of the skill level required to be able to actually write and 
maintain an install profile.
