[development] stuff to do before Drupal 6 beta 1 can be released

Hello World!

The RTBC queue is quite manageable these days, so one would think that
a beta release can be easily rolled anytime. Unfortunately there are
at least two beta breaker issues in the works still:

 actions renaming to trigger: http://drupal.org/node/172773
 serial fields: http://drupal.org/node/162432

These are not RTBC yet, but are definite show stoppers on a beta
release. So I'd ask people interested in a beta sooner to help out
there and contribute. (There are surely still some more critical
issues open, so concentrating your powers on those issues can also
help a lot).
