No, I would say that is a bug. As far as I know, IE won't keep the
form contents if the user clicks back after clicking away. So in some
common cases, this will lose the user's data. Losing data is generally
a bad thing.

A couple possible solutions which I haven't fully thought-out:
- Attach a false-returning click event handler to '.preview :link',
with some sort of "this is a preview" notification to explain why
clicking is doing nothing.
- A whole draft & autosave system so incomplete posts are never lost
under any normal circumstances.
