The remote_macro module could also be useful in some situations, it
uses services module to allow remote playback of captured FormAPI
submissions. Dangerous if left turned on, but if you're adding a new
content type and changing lots of settings not just in CCK, you can
record them all, and not have to remember what you did.

Lots of options it seems!
