Ok, let me try to simplify it.

Is there any way I can make Drupal list the modules/themes inside another
location rather than the matched multisite folder?

If I access abc.com (which matches abc.com in sites), can I make Drupal list
the modules and themes inside some other location by specifying it in the
settings.php for abc.com?
