What if we allowed anyone in the community to submit a short phrase to put
there, vet them for profanity, and rotate 5 random "community submitted"
phrases on every page load. It would be even cooler if we put names up there
and the phrase were in quotes.

Am I volunteering to vet phrases? If I must, then I volunteer. I, however,
do not have the social contacts necessary to bring this about in the
community. The only downside that I can see is that no one really "wins" and
we don't have "one phrase." But isn't that the point of what we're trying to
accomplish?

We are stronger together than when we are divided on details.
