Hi Chaitali -

The best thing is to dive in where you're interested. Assuming you are
interested in module development, you may want to start participating in the
issue queue in modules you're interested in, or start building one that is
missing.

http://drupal.org/contribute has a starter discussion of how to get
involved. Drupal has so very many things to do that nobody can really say
"do this" - you mostly have to find your interest level.
