Agreed.  Maybe this information can be carried out by the same 
module/code that is supposed to add the license to the book pages?

As a quick hack, I could add a snippet about the license at the bottom 
of the book navigation block.  Any suggestions for such a snippet?  It 
should be _short_ but can have a link to the license page that Charlie 
added yesterday.
