Bill, in our recent drupal administration survey we highlighted a
number issues users are having trouble with.
1) Updating Drupal: http://drupal.org/upgrade/tutorial-introduction,
there was a recent thread on the mailing list and we just need some
help to implement those changes.
2) Working with themes was considered the most difficult
administration task: http://drupal.org/node/37156, and http://
drupal.org/node/39451. There is a new themes mailing list and they
need help with filling this documentation out: http://drupal.org/node/
39451
3) Most common Drupal activities:
-Managing content, updating comments and content. Spending time on
how to do this would be helpful.
-Installing new modules and learning new features: Installing new
modules is complete: http://drupal.org/node/17473, but it could be
redone to be super user friendly. We have written 81 administration
help module handbook pages here: http://drupal.org/handbook/
modules. This does not include all of the top 50 most downloaded
modules. If you were willing to write some of those that would be
very helpful to new users.
4)The page the troubles me the most right now: http://drupal.org/node/
15365 it has 34 comments and without clean URLs new users will miss a
lot of the benefits of Drupal.
Cheers,
Kieran
