So I have seen this suggested on the infrastructure list as well and
think it would be a great idea.
-Implement a "drupal website gallery" highlighting standout drupal
sites that either exhibit exceptional graphical design, information
structure, functionality, or all three.
I would like to see the Drupal sites still live on (http://drupal.org/
drupal-sites). This page while unwieldy, does still let people feel
like they have some stake in the Drupal community. It just shouldn't
be promoted up near the top as our showcase.
Where should we first solicit submissions to this future gallery? A
post to the front page of drupal.org? Or do we want to sequester
this to the mailing lists?
Finally, do people think that this kind of information fits inside
the handbook(documentation)? Should this and other marketing
materials live outside of the documentation? I'm not sure....
