As Kieran has already pointed out, there are a number of places you can
jump in and help out. An easy way might be to contact one of the
documentation teams and join in on what they are working on:

BTW: I'm not sure anyone will get the Wayne C. Booth reference (that
makes you a Neo-Arisotelian; me, too ;)
