hello all,
i've been commissioned by Kieran to coordinate the first phase of
documentation for the new forms api, and i was hoping to get some feedback
on strategy. Kieran and I have already agreed that the first step is for me
to write a working outline, and alongside of that a basic primer on the new
api. hopefully from there others will be willing to step up and fill in the
gaps. :)
my question is this: what's the best way to set up a working environment for
this documentation? just mail this list and we'll do everything through
here? Sepeck has also offered to set up a drupal site where we could use
revisions and the book hierarchy to get a solid first effort hammered out,
then just port our work over to the handbook. i like that idea, and i'm
quite sold on having that kind of workspace for bigger projects--the forms
upgrade would never have made it to core without our svn repository
workspace... :)
my plan is to have a working outline ready today, and a decent primer on
forms api by tomorrow. let me know your thoughts on how best to distribute
it.
chad
