Some possible focuses could be:
* Use drupal for promotion and development of your application
* Drupal as developer platform
the second one is clear i guess; but the first one may need some more
explanantion.
I did a lecture/presentation for a whole lot of FLOSS developers and advocates
once, where I presented drupal this way. Drupal as a perfect CMS for the
homepage of your application. Gwenview is an example of such a site.
It can hold issues, (support)forum, screenshot gallery, cvs logs,
documentation (books) and off course blogs or news.
If the reader base is indeed mostly linux developers, I think that is a very
good focus. A sort of introductional tutorial on how to install drupal (on
sourceforge) to become a nice looking homepage for the application you
develop.
