Try to get hold of an (i) experienced developer that (ii) is familiar  
with translating Drupal.  He or she should like the technical aspects  
of the patch. (Is it easy to translate?  Is it secure?  Does it  
conform the coding style?)  You might want to do that before you  
start updating the bulk of this patch.
