I mentioned this in my first post. If they have done the pointing step
properly, the URLs for all their sites will load a Drupal site (ie the
default single site from their standard install).

If they get anything else, then it isn't configured correctly yet.

Seeing as though any incoming HTTP requests need to go through this
stage before Drupals multisite functionality can even kick in, in my
mind it makes sense to get this step tested and working first.

Fine. I'm typing this from work now though, which is why I said my
detailed stuff would have to wait until later.
