So, this issue is a duplicate of 62352, or 62352 is a duplicate of
113213... (which one?)


81344 includes code to update the "Book contributors" view/node.

As title, can we add 'last updated' info to handbook pages? I think it
might be useful for users to get a sense of how current/relevant a page
is...

Should probably be a feature request against the book.module rather then
documentation. Then it could be implemented on all Drupal sites.

oops. :) meant against Drupal since it's the book module.

Somewhere in the issue queue there was a expose the modified time and
author as well as created time and author to node templates, complete
with a UI.  I don't recall why it was dropped, but I'd definitely be in
favor of bringing it up again if I can find it. :-)
