[support] 404 blank page

When I visit a nonexistent page, I loose a good portion of my site 
template. Before I installed search404, I would get just the header, 
with nothing but a logo, and my footer. Nothing else of page.tpl.php 
displays. Since I added search404, I now get the 404 page surrounded by 
the same nothing. See
