Hi Tom.

XChat is popular, but a bit complex at times.  Pidgin (formerly Gaim) and 
Kopete also have IRC capabilities, and I use Pidgin on Windows as my IRC 
client.  On Linux, I am partial to Konversation, which is the KDE IRC client.
