[support] [Done] Getting Drupal6 running on Debian LAMP system

I finally decided that my hangup problem was due to the old installation
of mysql that I couldn't seem to completely strip from the system. I
re-installed the operating system and did a desktop only installation.
I then used XAMPP to create the web site. I loaded up Drupal and
everything works fine. Tip: don't leave an old copy of MySQL on your
system. It can screw everything up.

Thanks everyone.
