As far as I see it there are the following use cases for sandboxes that don't fit the current rules:
- share some code snippet (Karoly, Goba) - develop patches for contrib modules
I have another case. I'm maintaining a copy of the bidi.module in my sandbox (http://cvs.drupal.org/viewcvs/drupal/contributions/sandbox/msameer/) Why isn't it a drupal project ? For 2 reasons: * The code is ugly and I don't have enough time to clean it and fix the coding style. * I'm not interested in maintaining an _official_ drupal module. I just keep it in my sqndbox and fix whatever whenever I find enough time. I always ask people to get it from my sandbox and to monitor it for changes. I'm sure we can find more use cases if we investigate farther (Although I understand that people keep -what we consider in our opinion to be- crap) All the best, -- GNU/Linux registered user #224950 Proud Egyptian GNU/Linux User Group <www.eglug.org> Member.
